The application period for both of CRNY’s programs closed at 11:59pm on March 25, 2022. We are unable to accept late submissions for any reason.

Details about each program will remain available below for reference throughout the selection process.

Artist Employment Program

CRNY’s Artist Employment Program will fund employment for 300 artists working in collaboration with community-based organizations across New York State for two years. Participating artists will receive a salary of $65,000 per year (commensurate with median household income in New York State) plus benefits and dedicated time to focus on their artistic practice. Community-based organizations will receive $25,000-$100,000 per year to support their collaborations with these artists.

Help Desk

To ensure care throughout the application process, CRNY’s Help Desk provided technical support for applicants who:

  • Had additional questions about eligibility for either program that are unanswered in the Guidelines and FAQs

  • Were unsure of which program to apply to

  • Were unable to apply online and need someone to submit an application on their behalf for any reason, including:

    • Limited access to broadband or Wi-Fi

    • The need to submit their application in a language other than English or Spanish

    • A disability that bars their access to the application

    • Other circumstances

The Help Desk is now closed.

Artist Outreach Corps

CRNY hired ten artist organizers from around New York State to recruit artists and organizations to apply for both of CRNY’s programs. This group was equipped to answer questions and support the overall application process—from helping applicants figure out which program was the best fit, to connecting artists and organizations in their region for an Artist Employment Program application.
