Jess McLeod

Jess McLeod is a writer/director and social justice advocate specializing in risky new work about America. She has directed and developed new plays, musicals, and operas at theaters across the country and recently served as “Bold” Resident Director at Woolly Mammoth Theatre, Resident Director of “Hamilton” in Chicago, Lead Curator of the Refocus Project at Roundabout and Co-Chair (with Michael Korie) of the Dramatists Guild Foundation’s Musical Theatre Fellows Program. Past productions include “The Thanksgiving Play”(Steppenwolf); “The Chinese Lady” (Alliance); and “The Family Album,” a new musical commission with La Jolla Playhouse.
