Jocelyn Gutierrez
Jocelyn “Joss” Gutierrez began dancing at an early age, but it was performing with her junior high school step team that solidified her decision to pursue a career in the performing arts. In 2001, she joined a local Harlem-based dance company where she trained in commercial hip-hop, breaking, and house dance styles. She toured in Europe with Straight Face recording artist Lumidee, prior to joining the Sybarite Production Dance Company, where she continued to train with some of the most respected choreographers in the industry. While with Sybarite, she opened for Snoop Dogg during his R&G tour and performed at festivals promoting Super Bowl XXXIX. She subsequently signed with CESD talent agency, continuing to perform in music videos and on stages worldwide with artists such as Fergie, R&B singer Joe, and Dipset artist Jim Jones. She also performed alongside R&B singer/actor Mario as the opening act for Destiny’s Child’s “Destiny Fulfilled and Loving it” tour. Outside of her professional dance career, she instructs Urban Movement Class throughout New York City and Long Island, mentoring and training performers of all ages for over 20 years. She has also developed the All Real Expressive Art Collective Dance Company known as A.R.E.A Collective, a training program for aspiring industry performers and choreographers.
