Journei Bimwala is a foraging practitioner, clinical herbalist, educator, and artist from the Bronx. Through her organization, Each One Carry One, she empowers people to reconnect with the land, teaching plant knowledge and foraging for food and medicine. As the founder and a catalytic leader of the Bronx River Foodway, New York City’s only edible food forest where foraging is legal, Journei uses storytelling and oral tradition to connect people to plants. Her work taps into our senses, inspiring creativity and fostering a deeper connection with nature.
