Lashawn Marston
Lashawn “Suga Ray” Marston is an artist and activist dedicated to community building through storytelling, filmmaking, and spoken word. He recently completed an Art Residency at MoMA PS1, and his work has been featured at Flux Factory and the Museum of the Moving Image, as well as in local New York City magazines.
Lashawn has had to overcome great personal adversity (being shot, going to prison) and in 2007 made a conscious decision to remove himself from the destructive path he found himself on and instead decided to use his time to help families and individuals that were burdened with their own trials.
