Nicole-Bethany Onwuka

Nicole-Bethany is a multimedia performer, writer, director and teaching artist, creating stories and experiences that help people feel seen, known, and loved at every stage of their life. By the age of 5, she was already creating and singing on Broadway-sized stages, introduced to her voice and its positive impact on audiences of all ages. This sparked a love for performing on stages, but in her pursuit, theater seemed out of reach as it was almost always outside of her community. Despite sometimes feeling overlooked and forgotten as a Black girl within theater, she stayed and determined in her heart to do something about this. Shortly after receiving a BFA in Acting from Ithaca College, Nicole-Bethany created an innovative approach to theater education that provides a solution for Black, Brown and other under-resourced youth with a fun way to engage with literacy! She’s committed to creating transformative stories through TV, film, and theater, while introducing theater that transforms, heals, and inspires the next generation to change the world.
