Paola Poucel

Paola Poucel (SAG-AFTRA) is an award-winning actress, singer, and voiceover artist and a graduate of AMDA in NYC. Her career began in Mexico at the Theater Company of the State of Puebla. In New York, she has participated in numerous theater projects, including “Nanas” (LaMicroTheater), “De Novo” (Houses on the Moon), “La Cantante Calva en el McDonald’s” (LaMicroTheater), among others. She’s been a member of the bilingual children’s theater company Teatro SEA for 15 years and tours all over the country with their productions. She is the recipient of numerous Latino theater awards such as ATI, LATA, and HOLA. After several short films, her feature debut “Ilegales”premiered at the 2010 HBO Latino Film Festival to great reviews. After a successful run in the festival circuit, her short film “Text Amy” (which she produced and starred in) is part of “Emerging Latino Filmmakers” at FUSE TV. Furthermore, Paola has developed a distinctive voiceover career working for brands such as Pfizer, Kmart, Walgreens, Aveeno (SOVA’s Best Spanish VO for Commercial), Nickelodeon’s “Dora and Friends,” “Dora the Explorer,” Cricket Wireless, Neutrogena, and Publix, among others.
