Peniel Guerrier

Peniel Guerrier is a teacher, choreographer, performer and founder of Kriye Bode. He focuses on research, preservation, education, promotion and presentation of Haitian culture through music and dance.

He began his formal dance training in 1987 under the supervision of the most prestigious teacher in Haiti, Herve Maxi. Subsequently, Peniel danced and toured around the world with the National Dance Theater and Bacoulou Dance Company.

Peniel’s vision has different aspects, but the most important is to establish and extend the Haitian folkloric structure and technique. His dances enhance the energy and flow of traditional forms with beautiful, vivid body shapes.
