Rachael Sophrin Lorimer (aka OSYARI) is a multi-disciplinary printmaker, painter, and educator. Her abstract artwork layers light and texture to mimic the sensation and scale of natural spaces. As an artist-educator, Rachael guides students of all ages through tactile movement-based learning and play. As a 2022-2024 CRNY Artist Employment Program grant recipient, Rachael merged her printmaking practice with community development, folding her strengths in communication and facilitation into her creative process through workshops, interviews, and curation of community-made artworks. In 2024, she founded the Printmakers Guild of NY, a regional, artist-led professional community for printmakers. Rachael owns and operates Studio OSYARI, a community print shop in Troy, NY and holds a BFA from The Cooper Union.
