Ren Davidson Seward

Ren graduated from Rhode Island School of Design. She ran an award-winning graphic design studio in New York City for nearly twenty years and produced hundreds of print pieces with non-profits, museums, park advocacy groups, government agencies, and other creatives. She moved to northern New York State after 9/11 and found her niche as an exhibit designer. For the last five years, New York State Department of Parks and Historic Preservation has supported the evolution of her site-specific installation at the John Brown Farm State Historic Site which receives about 50,000 visitors a year. The John Brown Farm, and the official friend’s group of the site, John Brown Lives!, is dedicated to bending the moral arc of history toward justice and equity. She was invited to install “A Memorial Field” at the John Brown Farm in 2020. Since, collaborations with musicians, dancers, other artists, and professional facilitators amplified the experience for her and many others in the New York region.
