The Collaboration
Kendry Martinez collaborated with the Colectivo Intercultural TRANSgrediendo, creating art therapeutic spaces designed to enhance the talent that exists within each of the members of the organization, helping them to express repressed feelings that serve as limitations to personal and professional development.
During the two years of the collaboration, they created activities to serve the needs of the members of the organization. Activities ranged from educational health festivals to marches for political advocacy, to support groups, artistic workshops, and more.
During the development of the workshops and support groups, 667 people participated, including 146 people that were new to the organization.
The Organization
Colectivo Intercultural TRANSgrediendo is an organization that works to promote and defend human rights and access to comprehensive health care for TransGNB, QBIPOC and Sex Workers. By strengthening the social and cultural expression of diverse gender and gender expansive, and intersex communities in New York City, we seek to guarantee our well-being and the right to a life free from all types of violence.
