The Collaboration
Theater artist Lucas Lloyd collaborated with Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP) to provide programmatic support to widen the organization’s reach throughout Buffalo, NY. Through social media and direct outreach, Lucas helped to expand audiences and artist participants alike. Lucas facilitated RLTP’s inaugural season of special All Access performances, booking free tickets to low-income and underserved populations in the city. The collaboration also expanded reach for RLTP staff through the Bridge Program, a paid, hands-on internship program for early-career theater artists of color, where Black, Latinx, and Indigenous artists got to network with local artistic directors. New programming born of the collaboration also included UnScripted, a series of sixteen improv performances throughout the year that helped to contribute to downtown Buffalo’s economy. Finally, Lucas supported artists throughout the region by expanding the listenership of RLTP’s arts-focused Off Road Podcast.
