The Collaboration
Artists Mariana Lima, Segundo Orellana, Jonathan Romero, Daniel Jimenez, and Margarita Espada joined Teatro Experimental Yerbabruja Inc. in Suffolk County, New York. Working alongside the BIPOC community on the south shore of Long Island, this collaboration created music, theater, creative writing, and social dialogues reflecting and giving visibility to the marginalized communities that Yerbabruja serves. The artists helped create ten permanent murals formed in conversation with the local community.

Teatro Experimental Yerbabruja, Inc., is committed to advancing cultural understanding within the diverse community it serves by using the arts to promote constructive social change.
